Weldex was established in 1979 by Dougie McGilvray and has grown into the UK’s largest crawler crane hire company. Operating nationwide from a number of locations we can offer a wide range of crane size from 5 to 1350 tonnes. Weldex supply fully trained operators and service engineers for our cranes, complying with the UK requirement for CPCS/CSCS qualified personnel. Additional plant from wheeled cranes, forklifts, lorry loaders and trailers are also available for special projects.

Weldex believe in providing the correct crane for our clients’ specific requirements, as such Weldex continue to invest in the latest technology available, resulting in a large, modern fleet.

Weldex have invested heavily in new plant specific to the Renewable Energy and Power Generation industry. Our new cranes and expertise offer an effective, safe and productive lifting solution for wind farm developers, both on and offshore.
